It’s really difficult to write an about page such as this because there’s so much to say that I couldn’t possibly fit it all onto one page!
I’ll try to give you the most interesting and relevant bits about me though…
I have a profound interest in Computer Science, more specifically programming, web development, networks and software engineering. That’s how I first came up with the idea of creating a personal website.
I hope, now I’ve completed education, to get an apprenticeship or job in IT. I will use this site to document everything I have created in terms of my computing portfolio in order for employers to get a better overview of who I am and what I can do.
As well as Computer Science, I studied Art at A-Level. This helps me with the design aspect of creating a website and it is something I find relaxing and enjoyable.
Additionally, I have a visual impairment which means I have to use a screen reader to be able to work computers and smart phones. A screen reader is a piece of software, that can be installed on computers, tablets and phones, that will read out what’s on the screen at any given moment in a customizable synthetic voice.
There is also a very enjoyable sport for the blind that I play called Goalball, you can find out more about it at goalballuk.com. It is a very rewarding sport that, not only keeps you fit, but has a large element of strategy to it as well.
One of my biggest dreams is to travel the world and I always try to take the opportunity to experience new cultures and countries in the form of charity organised events (a great option for blind and visually impared travellers is VICTA’s holidays abroad) to prepare for achieving this dream.
I love watching films and try to keep up to date with the latest TV series’ although that is very difficult at times as there is so much to watch!
Going out with friends and family is something that I enjoy doing as well and I actively try new things and hobbies and am always up for a new chalenge.
As a basic overview of me – that’s about it. Do feel free to send me a message if you want to know anything more specific.
I hope you enjoy browsing this site.
